Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American theater and film actress. She's been an professional actor for the past 27 years. She began her acting career on stage with an off Broadway production called The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in 1990. In the following year she was cast in her debut TV role The Perfect Tribute. In 1992 she earned her breakthrough when she played as an additional character in Basic Instinct. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the female lead for the very first time and that too opposite famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the late 1990s, she collaborated with many of the best names in the field, such as Gwyneth Paltrow as Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. She portrayed Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural drama Criminal Minds.

In 2007 she wasn't the champion of the US Women's Open, however she won at the Aldila Junior Classic to be the second. The oldest American Junior Golf Association member to win this award, she also took home the Westfield Junior PGA Championship in the same year.
